Do I really never need the terminal?

That's the whole point. Downloading, scaffolding, running, stopping, and installing packages all happen through the Umbreasy UI. No CLI, no PowerShell, no remembering flags.

Umbreasy is a native desktop app for both macOS and Windows. Pick your version when you request beta access and we'll send the right build.

Is it free during the beta?

Yes - the beta is completely free. We'll share pricing well before anything changes, and beta testers will get a heads up first.

Do I need an existing Umbraco install?
